What parts of WA suck more?
Ok. I've lived all over the place thanks to having family in the military and this is the crappiest place we've lived thus far. I can handle the weather and that Seattle has like 2 seasons: fall and winter. I can handle the crappy traffic and poor public transit system (sometimes living in Atlanta seemed worse regarding traffic). I can handle the homeless people that are on every waking corner asking for money. But wtf is up with the people here??? It's not just Seattle, it's Everett, Marysville, Snohomish, Arlington, Stanwood, Mount Vernon...jesus, the only city that I found myself liking was Bellevue. People here seem to lack courtesy. A "thank you," a smile, a "good morning, how are you?" never killed anyone. I've just run into people who like to talk shit about other people, but actually smile in the person's face and act friendly with them. I'm sure some people call it human nature, but that's no excuse to be an asshole. Perhaps it has to do with my current location consisting of redneck residents who wave their confederate flag high, but even in Seattle where people are very liberal, people there are still douchebags.
At any rate, I want to know, what parts of Washington State suck more than Seattle? It can't be any worse right? I feel like anything NORTH of Seattle sucks. I'm sure not everyone is a trashy redneck, but a good portion of them are. But Seattle sucks too...for the same reason--the people. Are there any genuinely friendly people living around here?
